Her training includes one-to-one integral sound healing and Zen Meditation and Mindfulness with Zen Master Daizan Skinner Roshi, founder of Zenways.

Dawn is now a qualified Zen Yoga and Zen Meditation teacher, working with charities, healthcare organisations, the Lottery Fund, and studios across the North West to make these practices accessible to all.

About the course

Join Dawn for an 8-week secular (non-religious) course grounded in neuroscience, psychology, and centuries-old Zen practice. Designed to build mental clarity, emotional resilience, and stress awareness, this course offers a structured and research-based introduction to meditation and mindfulness.

Each session explores a key theme and includes guided practices, discussion, and reflections to deepen your understanding:

Week 1: Rewire Discover how meditation reshapes the brain through neuroplasticity, and commit to daily practice to begin rewiring attention and awareness.

Week 2: Regulate Explore how mindfulness interrupts stress responses, supports the nervous system, and builds inner resources for challenge and change.

Week 3: Observe Learn to meet physical pain with curiosity rather than resistance, and shift your relationship to discomfort through focused attention.

Week 4: Feel Develop tools to sit with emotional states such as anxiety, fear or low mood — without avoidance or judgement — using the body as anchor.

Week 5: Detach Reflect on the roles you play and how they impact identity, stress, and time pressure. Use meditation to find space between reaction and response.

Week 6: Restore Identify the habits and relationships that nourish or deplete you. Learn how daily mindfulness can support better boundaries and balance.

Week 7: Elevate Understand the longer-term cognitive and psychological benefits of sustained practice — from improved focus to emotional resilience.

Week 8: Sustain Review and reflect on your 8-week journey, and create a personal plan to continue your meditation practice with confidence.

No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to practise, reflect, and explore. Book below.
